IOD - International Organisation Development

IOD provides organisation development and monitoring and evaluation support to companies, government bodies and charities that are trying to improve what they do and how they do it. IOD has worked in over 50 countries on over 400 projects. We currently have 20 permanent consultants and a network of over 200 associates.

Our work sharpens performance through a three-pronged approach:

  • Understand and develop how organisations and institutions work, their organisational processes, systems and relationships
  • Assess and evaluate these in terms of their performance, impact and capacity for delivery and change
  • Help organisations and institutions to learn by reflecting on and evaluating systems, processes and people

IOD is also home to the PARC (the Performance Assessment Resource Centre), a one-stop resource centre for performance assessment, monitoring and evaluation, established in March 2001 with support from the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID). The aim of the Resource Centre is to improve performance assessment in international development practice.
